The Black+Decker 20V MAX is a 18V-class platform introduced in 2011, built around a 5x 18650 cell pack. All Black+Decker 20V MAX batteries fit all Black+Decker 20V MAX tools.
Legacy & cross-generation: B+D 20V MAX and Porter-Cable 20V MAX use the same battery interface and DO interchange with each other; they do NOT natively fit DeWalt 20V MAX (different foot) despite the shared parent company.
Worth knowing: B+D / Porter-Cable / Stanley FatMax share a battery; Craftsman V20 and DeWalt are separate feet.
